Sahara Refund Portal 2023:The Sahara Refund Portal, launched on July 18, 2023, by the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS), Ministry of Cooperatives, Government of India, aims to distribute Rs 5000 crore to authorized members of Sahara Group’s cooperative societies. Hon’ble Union Minister for Home & Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, introduced the portal, which accepts online applications from eligible depositors through its official website, https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in. This initiative follows a Supreme Court ruling, offering Sahara depositors the opportunity to reclaim their investments through the user-friendly Sahara Refund Portal.
On July 18, 2023, Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah will unveil the Sahara Refund Portal, bringing excitement to Sahara’s 10 crore depositors. Through this portal, investors whose investment time has expired will receive their money back. The launch is a result of the Supreme Court’s ruling, and it aims to provide all relevant information to Sahara investors regarding the Money refund process. The Ministry of Cooperation has taken this step to address the claims of investors who had money deposited with the Sahara Portal and Sahara Group’s cooperative societies, including Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited. The Supreme Court has ordered CRCS to allocate Rs 5,000 crore for these claims.
